American Revolution The American Revolution was fought due to Britain's

increase of taxes without the consent of the colonists. While Britain lost money fighting the French, eyes

were turned to America to raise profit. Many looked up to a small class of wealthy gentiles to

bring the nation together and rise up against unwanted tax and tariffs. *John Adams, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and John Hancock.

The constitution is written, the bill of rights is put in place, and a new democracy is formed which France newspaper calls “The hope and model of the human race.

The French Revolution 1789 the Declaration of Rights of Man and

Citizen, illegally makes its way into the Ancien Regime (Old Regime), and sparks a revolution.

1793 King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette are executed.

1793-1794 tens of thousands under the command of Maxamilien Robespierre are executed by guillotine, as well as Robespierre himself.

The worlds largest army of 800,000 men is created to protect France and its new nation.

Napoleon gains power in 1799 and rules till 1814.

Haitian Revolution The massive slave revolt in 1791, which was triggered due

to rumors regarding the end of slavery, ended with the burning of 1,000 plantations and the death of hundreds of white and mixed race people.

Toussaint Louverture, a former slave, and his successor with stood the internal resistance, dodged foreign powers, and even defeated Napoleon in an attempt to regain French control.

Became the only successful slave revolt in world history. 1791 after the success of the Haitian revolt, Jamaican

slaves sing songs in honor of the Haitians. After the defeat in Haiti, Napoleon persuaded himself to sell

the French controlled portion of America to the United States in the Louisiana Purchase of 1803.

Industrial Revolution Great Britain was the

home of the industrial revolution.

Was the biggest change of the human way of life since the agriculture revolution some 12,000 years prior.

Why Europe.. Why Britain? Why did the Industrial

Revolution start in Europe, more importantly, why did it start in Great Britain?

Expanding credit and capital.

Plenty of minerals (iron, coal, etc.) needed for manufacturing.

Transportation of goods easily due to small size of Great Britain.

The World… After Industrial Revolution.

The Industrial Revolution took part all over the world, allowing for massive production of goods and transportation of those goods to anywhere in the world.
