The design process starts with you: Your needs, your lifestyle and your desired aesthetic. Whether you prefer a classic look or a modern style, we’ll work with you to create a system that fits your style and budget. You’ll work closely with one of our expert design consultants, each of whom have extensive experience in maximizing home storage, organization and envisioning beautiful ways to reimagine a given space.

A Collaborative Experience

We can create a storage solution to fit almost any budget, with overall cost depending on the type of

system, materials, accessories and finishes you choose. Your design consultant will work with you to

create a system that works for your lifestyle — and your budget.

DESIGN CONSULTATION: Your project starts with a compli-

mentary in-home design consultation. With your design consul-

tant, you will review your space, discussing what you like or don’t

like about it, your vision, aesthetic preference, and potential

design concepts. We will take measurements of your space so

that we can design the perfect customized system for you.

Your design consultant will then gather all the information

and create a CAD design of your space so you can see your

design in 3-D.

SHOWROOM VISIT: At any point during the process, we

encourage you to visit one of our showrooms where you can

view the 3-D rendering of your design and interact with our

exclusive finishes, decorative hardware, and accessories to

further personalize your space.

Overall, this was a wonderful experience. From the initial planning to the build out of my new walk-in closet, it was easy and enjoyable. I really think that the

overall service and products are the best on the market. This was my first experience with California Closets, but certainly not my last.

Each California Closets system comes with a limited lifetime warranty that covers any substantial

defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product as long as you own your home.

SUSTAINABILITY

At California Closets, we constantly pursue opportunities to provide our clients with ecologically responsible options — and our products reflect this.

Because our board is made from recycled wood fibers, we don’t use raw resources and are able

to reduce content from the waste stream. (This also enables our board to comply with LEED®

credit for recycled content.) All of our finishes are also CARB (California Air Resources Board) compliant, meaning that they meet particular

regulations for emission standards and are safe for the environment. Many of our products are

certified by GREENGUARD, an environmental institute that seeks to improve indoor air quality

and reduce human exposure to chemicals and other pollutants.

In 1978, California Closets was founded by an 18-year-old college student with a dream of turning his innovative idea of maximizing space in his dorm room closet into a successful small business in Southern California. STEP ONE: DESIGN CONSULTATION

Your new custom closet starts with a complimentary in-home consultation with one of our expert design consultants. At this first meeting, we’ll measure your space, take inventory of your belongings and listen closely to understand your needs and ideas. These consultations take about an hour, but we will stay as long as necessary to conceptualize the ideal design for you.

STEP THREE: CUSTOM CRAFTED

When complete, your custom design is sent to one of our local manufacturing centers, where we use the finest materials from North America and Europe to create your system components. From sustainable materials to innovative accents, your custom-crafted closet — no two are alike — will meet the high-est quality of standards, backed by a limited lifetime guarantee.

STEP TWO: COLLABORATION

Once equipped with your design requirements, we’ll create a virtual model of your custom closet or organization system using our proprietary 3-D software, developed exclusively for California Closets. This powerful design tool provides a vivid and highly detailed visual reference, allowing you and the design consultant to edit the design, as well as see your choice of finishes and accessories in the new space.

STEP FOUR: INSTALLATION

Your new system will be installed with white-glove service on a timeline that works for you. Once completed, we’ll make sure your new closet or organization system is perfectly clean and ready for use. Post-installation, we’ll follow up to make sure everything is perfect.
