Encore Team Meeting: Our first activity this summer is a movie night on Thursday, June 22nd. We will show War Room by Chris Fabry, Alex Kendrick and Stephen Kendrick. It

is a compelling drama from the creators of “Fireproof” and “Courageous” that explores the power that prayer can have on marriage, parenting, careers, friendships and all areas of our lives. KIDZVILLE is for children ages Nursery to 6th Grade

PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN WORSHIP: Sunday Mornings during 11:00 AM Service (Room 100)

KIDZ CHURCH: During the summer months, Kindergarten-4th Grade will sit with their parents in Worship. This is an important time for kids to learn from their parents and adults during worship. Kidz Church services will resume in August.

COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY: The last day of Community Bible Study will be Wednesday, June 14th at 10AM in the Chapel. SUMMER SCHEDULE: Regularly scheduled Wednesday night activities ended for the summer and will resume on Wednesday, August 23rd. We hope you enjoy your summer! LEGACY CARE MINISTRY: We are starting a new ministry that reaches out to older adults who are having health issues. This is the new name of our Homebound Ministry. We have many people to reach and could use more team members. If you love helping others and visiting older adults, this team is for you. We have a beautiful arrangement of “I’d Rather Have Jesus” with a piano, keyboard and cello accompaniment. We are having rehearsals on the following dates: May 31st, June 14th, June 21st and singing on June 25th. (No rehearsal June 7th ). PRAYER FOR SERVICES: Leadership team members...Richard Gunkel, Traditional Worship Representative, and Angie Smith, Contemporary Worship Representative invite you to join them by signing up to pray during one of the Worship service times that you don't attend regularly. Our desire is to be in prayer for each other and our worship leaders while worship services are going on. We will have sign up sheets at the Navigator stations and in all Connection classrooms. NAVIGATOR STATION: There will be someone at the Navigator Station after each service to answer questions and help you get connected. They have information about all of the Connection Groups and ministries at First Baptist Church, Shallowater and would love to help you find your place.

FBC COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP: Scholarships are available for members who are attending a Baptist College or University. To be considered, please forward your fall class schedule to the church office no later than October 10th. You may also email carrie@firstshallowater.org.

After hearing God’s word preached this morning. I feel God is leading me to do one of the following:

I want to become a believer and follower of Jesus for the first time in my life. I admit I’m a sinner in need of a Savior, and I believe Jesus is my savior. I believe Jesus is God’s only son who died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I believe it and receive it!

I’m ready to follow Jesus all the days of my life.

I am a Christian already, but I’m struggling to live like it. I need encouragement and am open to having a mentor assigned to me by the Pastor or Staff for my spiritual growth.

I want to be Baptized! I am a believer and follower of Jesus, but I have not yet been Baptized by immersion.

I want to become a member of the church and am ready to attend the NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION CLASS! I would like the Pastor or staff to contact me with info.

BIBLE DRILL: Bible Drill for all 4th – 6th Graders This class teaches the books of the Bible, 25 Bible verses and 10 key passages all by memory. The information learned will last a lifetime.  

   

You must realize that God loves you but you are separated from God by a sinful nature.

Roman 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

You must believe that God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ as a payment for sin.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Although humanity through sin has separated itself from God, the sacrifice of Jesus, on the cross, bridged that gap.

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died for us.”

All that God asks is that you repent (turn away) from your sins and accept the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on the cross for those sins.

Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

The New Member Orientation Class is our opportunity to personally visit with you and share the beliefs of our church. Our New Member Orientation Class meets every Sunday between services.
