Activity at PAZKI Foundation for Street Kids

In follow up to our previous visit when I had asked the girls to fill out a questionnaire about their interests, I compiled a list of the vocational choices which had been chosen the most. One of their choices was to learn how to teach young preschool children. So I invited a friend of mine who is a psychologist and regularly gives training to parents of preschool children, their teachers and also helping them develop their curriculum.

Asrilla kept the girls attention by involving them in questions and answers about young children. She gave them many good ideas on how to keep young children’s attention and teach through play.

Then I taught the girls how to teach young children how to read through flash cards/sight reading.

And how to make a simple reader.

Then they practiced what they had learned on the youngest member of the group. One of the girls was very creative in how she taught! It was fun to see them try.
