STAT to exhibit at the 2019 Uptown United Innovation Gathering

St. Pete Tampa Aerial Transit, LLC (STAT) is proposing a new 21st century elevated, on-demand transit service for the Tampa Bay region.

Clearwater, Florida, October 8, 2019

STAT is a private sector transportation company that was created in 2016 to implement and operate a 21st century transit service. This new mode of autonomous, elevated, point-to-point, on-demand transit is known as Aerial Personal Rapid Transit (APRT). It is envisioned to operate in the new Uptown Tampa area, with future expansions to Downtown Tampa, Midtown Tampa and throughout the Tampa Bay region.

This new mode of transit is expected to be more affordable than driving an automobile due to modest construction costs and low operating costs. Powered by solar energy it will be sustainable. It will also be safe because it “flies” along a guideway above traffic.

STAT’s founder, Tom Nocera, said: “It is both an honor and an opportunity to share with so many visionaries on the USF campus our plans to take Tampa Bay from “Worst to First” in public transit!
