PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF STOKES CROFT - PRSC PRSC was formed on September 22 nd in 2007 by the current Chairman, Chris Chalkley. LOCATION PRSC is located in Stokes Croft, Bristol: PRSC Headquarters Address: 35 Jamaica Street, Stokes Croft, Bristol, FORMATION HISTORY Stokes Croft was first known as “Berewyke’s Croft”, later taking “Stokes Croft” as its name after John Stoke, the mayor in 1364, 1366 and 1379. Stokes Croft began with the Stokes Croft Theatre in the first half of the 18 th Century, located at bottom of Nine Tree Hill. By the time of 1775, the residents of Stokes Croft were carrying on businesses from their homes more often than not. Amongst these residents were carpenters, staymakers, a watchmaker, a baker and a butcher.
