The performance grade of the website is 80 which is beyond the red zone. However, this score can further be improved and can be increased to above 90. The load time is also satisfactory i.e. under 2 seconds. Currently, the website is using un-optimized images, too many HTTP requests and need to add expires headers.

Upon serving the website from various regions, we found out that the website is loading fastest in the North America region and the latest in the Asian region. This might be an issue if you are serving a global audience as the page loads slower in the region away from your data center.

We also ran a report on the site assets to see what type of asset is occupying the most size and is also contributing to the number of requests. This can help us optimize the assets which results in better load time.

More HTTP requests delaying the initial load time of your website.

Not using the Expire Headers is also causing performance issues.

Un-optimized images in wrong image formats.

Not utilizing the gzip compression.

Too many external JS and CSS calls.

Combining external files can help in reducing HTTP requests. You may use the XYZ tool to help you reduce the HTTP request.

Adding expire headers helps in caching the components that load faster in the subsequent requests. Here’s the guide to do that.

Un-optimized images can be fixed by running the following plugin in your WordPress site.

A good cache plugin can help you with both the compression and combining files.
