Bridging the gap between the past and the future; our venues and surroundings will bring another dimension to your wedding, making it memorable, immersive and meaningful. There are ten award-winning museums spread along the valley beside the wild River Severn; still spanned by the world’s first Iron Bridge.

A huge amount of early industry survives as furnaces, factories, workshops, canals and the settlements of Coalbrookdale, Ironbridge, Jackfield and Coalport.

There are two main sites to choose from when considering your wedding:

COALBROOKDALE: Home to the Museum of Iron, Enginuity and the Darby Houses.

BLISTS HILL VICTORIAN TOWN: Complete with authentic 1900’s school, pub, bank, chemist and so much more.

Each offers a unique setting for your big day. Click the icons below to discover your perfect wedding.

CoalbrookdaleCoalbrookdale is truly the birthplace of industry. This incredible site houses ‘The Old Furnace’ where Abraham Darby I first perfected the smelting of Iron ore with Coke instead of Charcoal. His Grandson, Abraham Darby III also cast the parts for the World Famous Ironbridge in this same furnace.

Outside the Museum of Iron is ‘The Green’, a lawn which cascades

down to The Old Furnace and encompasses ‘The Boy & Swan Fountain’. Here in this attractive setting you can enjoy a drinks reception with your guests while your photographer captures the perfect moment.

At our Coalbrookdale site we have 3 spaces licensed for ceremonies and available for receptions: The Board Room, the Covered Bays and the Engine Shop.

“What an amazing venue for a large celebration - we loved

it. To have the freedom to decoratively customize The

Engine Shop was marvellous”Barbara and Tony Hulme

The Board Room The Board Room is perfect for your wedding ceremony; a classic room with wooden flooring and a grand fireplace.

This was the original board room for the Coalbrookdale

Company and would have seen many important decision-making meetings.

It is now a beautiful bright space with its own elegant staircase which leads you out onto the green for your drinks reception.

Covered Bays By contrast the Covered Bays, suitable for up to 150 guests, is another perfect venue for your ceremony or wedding breakfast.

It is an industrial and earthy space, with brick floor and iron pillars. The Covered Bays offers a striking industrial atmosphere offset by beautiful lighting that add the ‘wow’ factor to an

otherwise blank canvas ready for us to help you create your perfect wedding.

There is no heating in here, so a spring or summer wedding suits it best.

Testimonials“We had the most amazing day at the

museum of iron. The setting, staff, weather were all perfect. I couldn’t have asked for

better help with organisation and John and his colleagues provided so much support for me

and my wedding team!

I would absolutely recommend Ironbridge as a very special wedding venue with that magic that every bride looks for. I would

use your services again for another event in an instant.”

Lucy Floss

“I‘d like to thank you so much for all you did for me and Lee on our wedding day. We had a fantastic day and could not of asked for anything more. Everyone commented on how great the venue and staff were.”

Tanya Swinnerton

“A massive thank you to you and your team and all the staff at Jenkinsons. Everybody at the wedding had a fab time and said you guys were

fabulous.

We couldn’t have hoped for a better day you made it so special one we will never forget.

Friends commented that it was the best wedding they had ever been to.”

Jayne and Antony Cleobury

“For our wedding venue I was looking for something that little bit different and quirky, and we found exactly that in Enginuity. As soon as we had been shown around the premises and grounds we loved it! The staff were fantastic from the start and were brilliant in the run up to the big day. The catering staff the day before were

great, giving us advice with the set up of the tables and on the day were so polite and pleasant. All the guests commented on what a lovely original venue it was. My husband and I had the most beautiful day and everything

went to plan we could not of asked for anything better. So to all the staff involved a very big thank you.”
