KANE, Robert Wilson Leonard(Bob Jr.)
Passed away July 9, 2016, atage 78. Bob was an entertainingman who enjoyed a party, loved todance, tell a good story and havea drink (or two) and a smoke (ortwo). He didn’t think his resume ofindulgences was full enough solater in life he added gambling tothe mix. Born in Lethbridge,Alberta in June, 1938, he becamethe spoiled eldest child of Bob(Sr.) and Doris Kane. Junior livedlife on his own terms and wasinvo lved w i th motorcyc l ingthroughout his childhood, so afterseveral years as owner of theWestern Gem Hotel and Saloon inDrumheller, Alberta, where heperfected his skills in shot pouringand storytelling, Bob moved toKelowna with his wife Arlene, andsoon a f te r opened Kane ’sHarley-Davidson which he ransuccessfully alongside his sonBlair for over three decades. Forthose lucky enough to haveknown Bob, they understand whata ‘larger than life character’ hereally was. Listening to him tell astory or give his opinion on anytopic always made for lively andcolorful conversat ion. Bob’sgreatest passion was motorcyclesand the motorcycle world lovedhim back. Every year hundredswould come to celebrate hisbirthday with a motorcycle ride inhis honor. He was a wonderfulh u s b a n d , p a r t n e r , f a t h e r ,grandfather and friend. The worldis a poorer place now without BobKane Jr – his laughter and hisHarley are quiet. To commemorate Bob’s life amemorial celebration will be heldat The Kelowna Yacht Club,Sunday July 17th at 1pm. Forthose wishing to participate inBob’s Last Ride, a motorcycleprocessional will assemble at theHarley-Davidson dealership at888 McCurdy Place at 11:30amleaving at noon to ride to theYacht Club. SMITH LINDA BELLE TOLLEY SMITH, atthe age o f 81 , passed awaypeacefully on July 11, 2016, in theCardston Hospital with her lovingfamily around her. Born January 22,1935, she grew up in Mt View,Alberta, and was married and lived inHill Spring, Alberta, from 1968 to2014 before moving into assistedliving in Cardston. She served a full time mission for theChurch of Jesus Christ of Latter-daySaints in South Africa in 1958. A lways a hard worker , shegraduated from the Galt School ofNursing in Lethbridge in 1956. Shewent on to a career as a nurse. Shetaught nursing at BYU in Utah, was apublic health nurse, and worked invarious locations before meeting and
marrying her eternal companion Richard (Dick) Smith in November 1968. Linda Belle was known for her loving and caring spirit. She loved to‘clown’ around and included everyone as a friend. Ever the joker, she wasa joy to be around. Games, cards, and visiting were some of her favoritepastimes. She loved to travel; one of her favorite trips was when she and two friendsdrove to Guatemala. Linda was always looking for an adventure. Wheth-er it was touring the Holy Land or parasailing in Mexico, she loved andlived life to the fullest. Her favorite thing in life, though, was being a mother and grandmother.She is survived by her children---Virginia (Allan) Spence, Amy Smith(Wade), Lloyd Smith, Ellen (Dan) Brooks, Chelsie (Terry) Knight---and 19grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed. Friends may meet the family at Legacy Funeral Home on Wednesday,July 13th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. or at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.prior tothe Service. The Funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ ofLatter-day Saints, Hill Spring, AB on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the Hill Spring Cemetery.

COLMO BRUNO COLMO of Lethbridge,beloved husband of Anna Colmo,passed away with his family by hiss ide at the Chinook RegionalHospital on Saturday, July 9, 2016 atthe age of 81 years. As well as his wife, he is lovinglyremembered by his children, Dario(Pam) Colmo and Linda (Kevin)Dragland; mother- in- law Mol lyMorency; sisters and brothers-in-law,Donna (Rob) Parkins, Scott (Leanne)Morency, Carrie Morency and Mark(Lori) Morency; nieces and nephewswho knew him as "Uncle Boo": Erika,Kayla, Todd, Meagan, Kai t lyn,Graysen and Dawson; as well as hisspecial nephews, Diego and family,Fabio in Italy, along with his brotherand sister.
Bruno was predeceased by his wife Lucia, parents and five brothers andsisters in Italy. Bruno was born on January 18, 1935 in Capo D'Istria, Italy. Heimmigrated to Canada with his wife Lucia in 1957 and went to work on adairy farm, north of Lethbridge. Within a few years, he began working forBalbi Construction and construction remained with him from then on;framing, home building and his cement work which he always wanted tobe done perfectly. Bruno was never a man to say "No" to anyone whoasked for help. He loved his bobcat (his toy) and right up to last year whenhis contractors called to do some bobcat work, he was there to help themout. Bruno was a very active member of the Italian community, alwaysavailable to lend a hand where needed. He will be remembered by hisfriends and family for his generosity and good hearted nature. A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, Alberta, on Friday, July 15, 2016at 7:00 P.M. with Deacon Cliff Bogdan officiating. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at ST. BASIL'S CATHOLIC CHURCH,604-13th Street North, Lethbridge, Alberta, on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at10:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback, Celebrant. Interment will follow atMountain View Cemetery.

Saturday July 16 at 1 pm forcoffee, tea and visits as therewill be no funeral as she was
cremated.
