"The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell"
by Robert Dugoni
Sam Hill always saw the world throughdifferent eyes. Born with red pupils, he wascalled “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by hisclassmates; “God’s will” is what his mothercalled his ocular albinism. Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye
doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design—especially not the tragedy that caused him to turn his backon his friends, his hometown, and the life he’d alwaysknown. Now, as he looks back on his life, Sam embarks ona journey that will take him halfway around the world. Thistime, his eyes are wide open—bringing into clear view whatchanged him, defined him, and made him so afraid, until hecan finally see what truly matters.

A huge thank you goes out toall the Spokes members whocame to the pillow stuffingparty on February 13th atLinda’s house.
Besides having a ton of fun andeating a ton of food and gettingto know each other tons betterwe were able to stuff and sewover 200 pillows!!!
Those pillows will be deliveredto Florida Hospital where they
will be given to heart surgery patients. After heart surgery it iscritically important to cough and take deep breaths during therecovery period to reduce the risk of pneumonia. Breathingdeeply and coughing after heart surgery can be difficult andpainful because of incisional pain. Heart pillows offer sternumsupport and help to give the patients some comfort after surgery.
Ladies: your work is important and and is very much appreciatedby Florida Hospital and all the patients who will be beneficiariesof your unselfish work.
