Test Days!!! Tuesday and Wednesday Come in and have a seat. Pass back papers and progress

reports. You will have 5 minutes to review

your class notes for the test. Clear your desk of everything but a

pen/pencil

Directions: Answer the following questions using your peers as a resource. Do not use your textbooks, internet, or other items.

Name all 50 states and their capitals? How many words can you create without

doubling letters from “North Carolina?”

Warm-up: 9/16 and 9/17 Answer the following questions on your

warm-up sheet using your textbooks, or notes from class last Thursday. What are the names of the Great Lakes? What are the two main mountain ranges of the

US? What kind of natural barriers do you think the

first explorers of the Americas dealt with? Any homework that you have for me needs to go into

the orange bin. Write down your homework in your agenda book or

homework page of your binder. I will be coming around to stamp it showing that I have seen your agenda.

Started working on our Map Quest of the USA.

Today, you will be given 1hr to complete the remainder of the packet.

I will be collecting the Map Quest for a class work grade after the hour time limit is up.

If you get done with the Map Quest, then it’s Quia Time

Each student will receive a student id login in for quia.com. This will allow for you to select the appropriate study tools and occasional tests that we will have on quia.com.

From now until the end of class. You may study the geography of the US using quia.com. Please see me if you have nay questions.

This class site will be running through June 29th 2014.

Homework- Write this down1. Study Guide: For the essay questions, I

will need an answer for the essay questions to get an idea of what you are looking for, if you were the teacher.

2. Test is Friday, if you need help studying see me before the end of class and I can pull you for lunch study time. If the links on Edmodo don’t help, or the quia activities, or study guide.

3. Current event #2 due Friday

Go to Edmodo.com and work on your assignment titled “Study Guide” this is due by Friday. This is an individual assignment, that means we are working alone without talking. If you complete it in class, turn it in. I will be able to grade it at home. Thank you so much. Ms. Farley

Test Day!!!! Core 1

1. You will have 5 minutes to look over your study guide. After the 5 minutes is up, turn your study guide into the orange bin. Then return to your desk and leave nothing out but a pen/pencil.

2. While the tests are out, there is no talking. 3. After the test, turn your test into the orange

bin, and answer questions 1- 6 on page 9 of your America textbook in complete sentences.

Core 2 and 3- Test Day

1. You will have 10 minutes to review your notes and to turn in your study guides on Edmodo.com or into the Orange Bin.

2. After 10 mins., Clear your deck of everything, but a pen/pencil.

3. There is no talking while the test is out. 4. After the test, turn it in to the Orange Bin.5. Read pages 6-9 in your “America” Textbook.

Answer questions 1(a+b), 2(a+b), 4, 5, and 6. Use complete sentences when it asks for it. If you get this done, turn it in to the Orange Bin.
