I was fortunate enough to meet with our Student Voice learners this week who brought with them a number of issues that they wanted to discuss. I never cease to be amazed at how perceptive our learners are and how honest! Fortunately they brought lots of positives to my attention and we were able to discuss and plan for changes in some areas raised. What a fantastic bunch! Today we have welcomed Mel Fisher from Worsbrough Common into school. Mel is working with Mrs Dickinson to create a video to show ‘ a day in a life’ of a Year 7 learner to support our transition process. I am delighted that we have successfully recruited 3 new teachers this week who will join our English and Maths departments from September. Year 11 preparation for exams continues, moderation activities have successfully taken place in Drama and PE and it was wonderful to hear of our learners preparation for their speaking and listening exam - check out our Ethic of Excellence blog to hear a great example! Finally it was great to see so many parents support the creative department Year 8 exhibition - it was fantastic! Huge thanks to all the staff who worked so hard to pull it all together. I hope you all have a great weekend and that the sunshine doesn’t completely disappear! Kate Davies, Principal PS Year 11 learners make sure you revise and complete your Closing the Gap work! Communication - New on-line reporting feature

This week the college intro-duced a new feature within the schoolcomms system which when fully implemented will allow parents and learners to view information and receive notifications on attendance, behaviour and attainment. It will also allow parents and learners the ability to view their timetable, and inform us when contact information has changed e.g. mobile phone numbers. Please ensure you have downloaded the App by following the instructions here -
