She went with some students from her dance group called Dance Lab. They danced in the Disneyland Parade at Universal Studios and along the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. In three years time they are in Hong Kong or Paris to dance again. LATE PAYMENTS FOR EXCURSIONS, INCURSIONS AND SWIMMING EVENTS - I would like to take this opportunity to inform everyone that final dates for excursions will be strictly enforced from this date onwards. Unfortunately we have had a large number of children who have presented their permission notices and money for these events after the due date. This is despite the fact that the notices are distributed well in advance of the event and numerous reminders are sent out electronically. When our children attend excursions we prepare lists for the use of the teachers to ensure that the administration requirements are met and safety protocols are observed. We also forward the numbers of attendees to the relevant service providers so that they can arrange sufficient staff to accommodate our children. Late payments and notices affect these arrangements i.e. new lists need to be printed, more staff need to be hired. Please ensure that your payments and permission notices are returned on time so that your child is not disappointed. JOINT SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING - On Tuesday night the Langwarrin, EMC, Woodlands and Langwarrin Park school councils met at Woodlands PS School for a joint meeting. The object of this meeting is to meet other councillors and discuss issues that are com- mon to the administration of all schools. Tuesday night’s meeting was a great success. The message that came through very strongly was the fact that we should celebrate the quality of state education in the Langwarrin precinct. Parents have an excellent choice of state schools for their children in Langwarrin. CURRICULUM DAY - Please note that on Monday, November 3, the school will be closed for a curriculum day. The children will not be required at school on this day. NORTHERN DIVISION ATHLETICS: Last Wednesday 25 students competed at the Northern Peninsula Division athletics competition. For many, it was their first time competing at this stage. Congratulations and well done to all the athletes; not only did they give 100% when they competed, their behaviour was excellent and support for all competitors was fantastic. RESULTS:

Students who finished 1st or 2nd will now compete at the Southern Metropolitan Regional competition this Thursday; results in the newsletter next week. Thank you to all parents who assisted with transportation of their child and supported all our athletes. A special thank you to the following parents who transported other students: Mardi Jansz, Louise Flyger, Lynette Sep-pings, Kathleen Fisher-White. Thank you also to Lance Kamau for acting as Team Manager whilst I was running the Triple Jump and Brenda Kamau for helping me with the Triple Jump. Athletics tops – there are still a number of students who have not returned their athletics top. It would be appreciated if these could be washed and returned by the end of next week. YEAR 4 HOOPTIME: Last Thursday the following Year 4 students competed at the Regional finals at Dandenong. Playing well as a team, the girls won 3 of their 4 Round Robin games to progress through to the Grand Final. Even though they played well, the girls went down 10 – 4. Runners-up is still a fantastic result. Well done girls. 4/14 – Maddison Tate 4/15 – Chloe Howes, Emma Allen, Jamie Pretty-Powell, Emily Kraal 4/16 – Shayla Jansz, Bella Betinsky
