Blessed Is He Who Comes in the Name of the Lord – Today we celebrant the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. The crowds waved palm and olive branches as Jesus rode into the city on a colt. They welcomed him as royalty, so moved were their hearts in faith and trust of God. Yet, while Christ’s procession into the city is a moment of joy, the joy is fleeting as the coming days lead to the passion and death of Jesus. The central mysteries of our faith that we celebrate this week highlight for us the lengths to which God will go out of love for us. It is appropriate to ask ourselves, then, what lengths will we go to for God. As we journey On Mission for The Church Alive! it is not just our parishes that we should hope to be transformed. We should also hope that our hearts and transformed in love and service of God and others. How are we called to be ambassadors of Christ, com-ing in his name to share the life and light of God with every-one we meet? On Mission invites us to be representatives of Christ before others that they may know his loving work in the world today. Visit onmissionchurchalive.org to learn more and to stay informed.

Help Us Help Our Neighbors St. Vincent DePaul Society

The St. Vincent DePaul Society would like to thank the pa-rishioners for their generous contributions. This year alone SVDP has assisted 14 families with rent, temporary housing, auto repairs, utility bills, and food. SVDP has helped many neighbors in the HF Church Community. Recently, a young single mother with a full time job got behind on her utility bills due to an unfortunate circumstance that arose in her life. She called our office and we referred her to SVDP. The team took immediate action and helped her fam-ily with what they needed. People come on hard times and don’t know where to turn. The SVDP Society is here to help. You can help us help those whose lives have hit a tem-porary setback. There’s an envelope in the pew pocket. Please use it to help The Saint Vincent DePaul Soci-ety help our neighbors in need.

Dear Parishioners,

Holy Week is the most special time of our church year as we walk with Jesus into Jerusalem and into all that would happen there to Him, and to us. These days, the whole week is to be holy. So, read the scripture accounts of Jesus’ passion, and reflect on the Stations of the Cross or just do one of these. Find extra time for quiet prayer. Make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament. Fast a little more. Whatever will best help you to recall the sacredness of these days is a good thing. On Holy Thursday, there is one Mass at 7:00 p.m. at Saints Peter and Paul. All 4 churches will be open for prayer until midnight, symbolizing our “staying awake” with Jesus while He agonized in the garden. On Good Friday, the Liturgies are spread through-out the afternoon: Noon at St. Cecilia, 1:30 p.m. at Holy Family and 3:00 p.m. at St. Felix. For those who might work, there will be Stations of the Cross at 7:00 p.m. at Saints Peter and Paul. Holy Saturday, there will be Blessings of the Easter Foods: 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family and 12 noon at St. Cecilia, St. Felix and Saints Peter and Paul. There are two Easter Vigils: 8:30 p.m. at St. Cecilia where the Paschal Candle for St. Felix will also be lit. The candle for Saints Peter and Paul and Holy Family will be lit at 8:30 p.m. Easter Sunday: 8:00 & 11:00 a.m. at St. Felix; 7:30 & 9:15 a.m. at St. Cecilia; 9:00 & 11 a.m. at Holy Family; 7:30 & 10:00 a.m. and 12 noon at Saints Peter and Paul.

Fr. Paul, Fr. Mark and all the parish staffs join me in praying for you this week and hoping that the outpouring of Jesus’ love for the human race evidenced in His passion, will fill you with wonder and peace. God Bless You.

God Bless, Fr. Bob
