WELCOME! If you’re new to Discover, here are some things you may want to know.

Please stop by the Welcome Center in the lobby. We’ll do our best to provide information and help however we can. We’d love to meet you! At the Welcome Center in the lobby, we give new guests a coupon to enjoy a FREE beverage at our Global Café. Feel free to bring your beverage into the worship center with you.

WORSHIP SERVICE

Singing: Most of the music we use is contemporary in nature. Please join in offering thanks to God as you feel comfortable.

Communion: We share communion every Sunday to remember the loving sacrifice of Jesus. If you are a Christian, we invite you to take communion with us. Most weeks we eat the bread and drink the juice as they are passed to us. If it is different this week, it will be made clear in the service. Gluten free bread is available at the Welcome Center.

Message: The teaching is from the Bible, designed to apply to our lives today. If you don’t have a Bible, please take one (from the Welcome Center in the lobby) as our gift. If you have a tablet or smartphone please be sure to follow along with the message. Simply download the YouVersion Bible application, connect to our guest WIFI (password: dcc43017), slide or scroll to “Events”, search our event by typing in our zip code (43017), tap on our Live Event and follow along!

CHILDREN: Nursery-Grade 6 are securely checked-in for dynamic, age appropriate teaching and worship. The Children’s Welcome Center is the place to start.

YOUTH: High School and Middle School have separate classes at 9:00, and worship at the 10:30 service. For classes, the Student Center is the place to start.

ADULT CLASSES & LIFE GROUPS (are the best ways to connect, grow and make a difference.) Classes meet Sunday mornings at 9:00 & 10:30. Life Groups meet throughout the week. Contact Jim Brechbuhler at jimb@discovercc.org for more information.

WOMEN // Ignite Discover Ignite is a community of women striving to build relationships and grow in faith. On the third Thursday of each month, Ignite offers an evening for women to enjoy fellowship over dinner, listen to a speaker from past IF:Gathering conferences, and engage in discussion about our walks with Jesus and the world around us. These events are free and open to women of all ages! Ignite meets in The Commons at 6:00 pm. Please RSVP for the July 18 gathering by Sunday, July 14 at IFDiscoverCC@gmail.com. SUMMER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR DISCOVER KIDS // July - Sept. 1 Summer Sundays are in session! Scheduling is happening now. Please consider serving just 2 or 3 Sundays from June to August to allow our dedicated school year teachers to renew and refresh. Many roles need filled in nursery, toddlers, and preschool, as well as service projects for elementary kids. Please contact cindyh@discovercc.org to volunteer for just one Sunday, or the whole summer!

PARENTING IN A SEXUALIZED CULTURE // Fireside Room Beginning July 21 at 10:30 am, we'll offer Parenting in a Sexualized Culture. Parents are challenged today to not only protect their children from 24/7 social media bombardment, but also to present sexuality in God-honoring way. We'll discuss God's plan for sexuality, explaining it our children, tech savvy parenting and much more. Jim Brechbuhler will be the primary teacher, with sessions led by Jordan Tuttle and other guests.

GO SERVE MEXICO REGISTRATION OPEN Sign ups are still open for our GO SERVE trip to Piedras Negras, Mexico. While this is a medically focused trip, it is open to all that feel called to serve in this region through Crossroads Missions. We are only taking a max of 15 Kingdom Workers, so it will be on a first come-first served basis. Trip dates are Friday, October 12 through Saturday, October 18. SAVE THE DATE FOR THE ANNUAL MEN’S CCHO MISSION TRIP Men, mark your calendar for this year's Christian Children's Home of Ohio mission trip, Thursday thru Saturday, October 17-19. You can go any or all of the 3 days. Housing and food are provided. In past years, we've poured cement, painted, built new walls, put down flooring, remodeled bathrooms, re-roofed houses, a cabin and a storage building, done demolition, built a small pavilion, and worked on the horse ministry barn. Regardless of your skill level, we can use your help...we involve everyone! Watch for more details as they become available.
