Importance of Staff Induction Training- Induction Training is given to new employees- Purpose of the induction training is to help a new employee settle down quickly

into the job by becoming familiar with the people, the surroundings, job task and the business

- Important to give new employees a good impression - Induction training can be spread out during days or weeks in order to cover the

main materials to help prepare new staff- Making the induction training fun, allowing new employees to feel relaxed

instead of stressed out from day 1, if they find the induction boring, chances are they will find the job boring and will want to resign early

- Create activities that will be fun to learn, and influential for the workplace- Let the new employees know that they have full support behind them

Activity #2

Scenario;

“A customer comes in to the Apple store and approaches you, he asks for your assistance as he is unsure on what product to get. He is tossing up between the different MacBook models, but is unsure on what model and size he wants. He specifically tells you that the main use for this product will be just for the Internet, and looking at photos and watching movies, and occasionally writing and sending emails. He is happy with his iPod Nano so music for him isn’t an issue. He doesn’t necessarily have a budget, but would like a product that will meet his needs at a reasonable price. What would you recommend to him? Or is there another Apple product that can meet his needs?”
