Conceptual framework
SPIN is a new and revolutionary tool for decision-makers and STI policy experts, developed by the Science Policy Programme of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The SPIN concept is based on a recently designed methodology for the standardization and systematization of data in science, technology and innovation policies, and consists of a cluster of six databases coupled to innovative graphic and analytic tools.
What is SPIN?
http://spin.unesco.org.uy/
Celebrating its sixty years, the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science in LAC seeks to consolidate its regional function as Clearing House for Science Policy Information. SPIN is therefore part of a regional information strategy that combines this platform with the new Series of Science Policy Studies and Documents in LAC (Vol. I and II available on www.unesco.org.uy and –of course- on SPIN).
