Compare and Contrast • Compare and Contrast: to identify similarities and differences

between 2 things

• Identify comparisons and contrast between characters

– The Little Rock Nine are in High School – Pacy is in Elementary School– Both Pacy and the Little Rock Nine face discrimination because of their

ethnicity.

• Between settings

– Little Rock Nine lived in Arkansas in the 1950s – Pacy lives near New York City during present day.– One similarity between Pacy and the Little Rock Nine is that much of

their story happens at school.
