We live in a mobile society.

*Notice the helping verb have is used in the past participle form.

The Two Types of Verbs

There are two types of verbs:

1. Regular verbs2. Irregular verbs

Regular verb: A verb whose past and past participle are formed by adding –ed or –d to the present.

Ex. Moved, traveled

Irregular verb: A verb whose past and past participle are NOT formed by adding –ed or –d to the present.
