School
Middle School Marching Band Night – 7th and 8th
graders join the MPHS marching band for a football
game and halftime performance.
Peer mentoring program – Both by advanced 7/8th
grade students and by students from MPHS.
Chances to perform in district and all state band
festivals
Bands perform at state band festivals and travel to
California to perform.
-
Instruments and how to
join
We start 6th graders on all band instruments (Flute,
Clarinet, Saxophone, Oboe, Bassoon, Trumpet, Horn,
Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba and Percussion).
We will be visiting schools to discuss instruments with
kids, and to discuss tryout sessions.
No need to know what you want to play. Sign up and we
will find that out together.
No experience needed. 95 percent of students enrolled
in band had never played an instrument before 6th
grade band.
