Fourth Week of Lent Cuarto semana de Cuaresma

HUNGERING TO LEARN HAMBRIENTO PARA APRENDER We journey with CRS Rice Bowl to the Central Ameri-can country of Honduras, where we meet students who are learning that it’s better to help your neighbor learn and grow than to leave him or her behind. To whom are we called to extend a hand this week? Visit crsricebowl.org for more.

A Note from the Administrator...

Dear friends, In this 5th week of Lent the work of mercy our parish staff focuses on is:

“Forgive all injuries.”

Some ways you might put this into practice are:

A) Call or send a card to a family member you haven’t talked to in a while.

B) On a piece of paper, write 5 injuries you have re-ceived and offer them to God.

C) Pray for national enemies. D) Visit someone who has wronged you. E) Park outside the jail and pray for those who have injured others. F) Go to confession, forgive yourself. G) Forgive yourself if you have injured someone. H) Look at Jesus on the cross who forgives us all.

Can you believe that next weekend is Palm Sunday! This has not been my best Lent, to tell you the truth. But there’s still time to do some rescuing. If there are any other “stragglers” out there, please take to heart some holy Lenten practice these last two weeks … and consider coming to our parish communal Penance Service this Friday at 7pm. It will begin with a wonderful living Way of the Cross by our Youth Group, followed by individual confession. .

Peace, All Good! Fr. Mike

Estimados Amigos,

Padre Mike
