How to become a Christian1. Admit to God that you have done

things that oppose His desires for you.“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

2. Acknowledge Jesus Christ as God’s only solution to your condition.“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:63. Ask God to forgive your sins and

invite Jesus into your life. “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”

What to Pray“Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for coming to earth, living an unblemished life, and dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as Savior and Lord of everything I do. Make me the kind of person you want me to be.”

What to DoGo to God in prayer daily. Read God’s word daily. Open your life to other Christian friends. Worship God weekly at church.

Remembrance Sunday is October 29th – we will also celebrate Pastor Appreciation that day – stay for cake!!

Doug & Ann Fouty hosted the Community Thanksgiving Dinner the past 2 years and we sincerely thank them! This year, however, they will be out of town. Anyone interested in taking over the hosting, please contact the church office.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month This year we will celebrate Sunday, October 29th, which is also Remembrance Sunday.

Join us for cake following Worship!Matt & Megan are expecting, so Pastor Dave and Lisa will be welcoming a new Granddaughter in March. They plan to travel to FL to meet her as soon as she arrives! If you would like to make a donation to help with their travel, you can drop it off at the office, put it in the Sunday Offering plate or send it directly to the church. Please mark as “Pastor Appreciation”.

TASK – Teaching After School Kids will begin Thursday, October 26th here from 3:30 – 4:30 pm for Mackinaw City students. This may be as simple as just listening to reading, helping with spelling words, or more involved lessons such as math. We need snacks, servers, helpers and tutors. Please sign up in Fellowship Hall.

There are 5 – 8’ foot tables for sale - $10 each or by donation. 2 in Fellowship Hall and 3 in the boiler room. Put your $$ in the box on the office door. Let’s get them out of here!
