USING THE WHITE BOOK

SEARCHING

Search the White Book by CPR Rule, Practice Direction/Protocol or by entering terms into the Free Text box. You can also search by Index terms or phrases. A dropdown box will give suggested terms and you can then filter your results list by the terms most appropriate for your search.

Use the Advanced Search to locate a specific paragraph or form.

You can link directly from any references within the commentary to related cases and legislation via hyperlinks.

ACCESS TO CONTENT

From documents you can link directly to sections of commentary on that page or to related Practice Directions and Forms.

BROWSING

Choose to browse cases, statutes, SIs or international legislation referenced in the White Book.

Additionally, you can browse the table of Contents where information is displayed in easy-to-read tables. From here you can link directly through to Sections, download PDFs and clearly see exclusive online content.

You can also choose to browse by Procedural Stage which links you directly through to content sets relevant for the stage you are at in the proceedings.

PDFS OF SECTIONS AND PARTS

Click on the PDF icon to open a version of that Section or Part in full. SUPPLEMENTS TO THE MAIN WORK

The two annual supplements are merged with the main work to create one consolidated text, eliminating the need for cross-referencing. You also have the option to download them as separate PDFs.

EXCLUSIVE ONLINE CONTENT

The White Book on Westlaw UK includes additional content which is not available in print. The icon identifies this within the Table of Contents and the text.
