what is web 2.0 show
TRANSCRIPT
When the Internet first became mainstream, users were primarily retrievers, readers, and observers.
As technology advanced over the years, the Internet changed to become the Internet we use today.
Developers call today’s Internet “Web 2.0”.
but…
WhatIsWeb 2.0?
Web 2.0 is a term that is used to define today’s Internet.
Users are no longer passive.
They are contributors and creators.
With social networks, personal sites, blogs, wikis, media sharing, and applications, users are participants.
Users are a part of the Internet.
Of course, users still use the Internet to retrieve information.
But how they retrieve that information is much more interactive.
With Web 2.0, the vastness of the World Wide Web becomes small and personal.
The world is, literally, at our fingertips.
