We like to off er fun experiences in all our
centres. These include the UK’s largest indoor
real snow slope at Soar intu Braehead, LEGO
magic at intu Traff ord Centre and one of the
UK’s largest urban beaches at intu Lakeside.
And in 2016, we signed Playmobil as our
fi rst national Christmas grotto partner,
with one venue bringing festive cheer to
80,000 children and parents.

contribution to the north east included
employing 15,000 people, adding £556m
value to the local economy and diverting
100% waste from landfi ll. We want to
make a diff erence to communities

Commitment to the environment
We reduce our environmental impact by
managing resources carefully and have
already met over half of our 2020 targets.
In 2016 we created the Green Lab, a
cross-functional team that identifi es new
environmental initiatives, from waste
reduction at intu Metrocentre to solar
