• Freedom to make our own decisions.

Issue: Secondhand Smoke• Nonsmokers shouldn’t have to suffer so…• Their increasing laws that limit smoking in

public areas and smoking in cars with children.

Cigarettes are Important for our Economy

Unfortunately…• Medical costs from smoking are higher than the

profit from cigarettes sold.

= Lost Productivity

However…• Over 700,000 jobs in the cigarette industry.• 1.6 million U.S adults are supported from this

industry.
