Baiboard BasicsIt is very easy to get started with Baiboard. Once you open the app you will see the following:

As you can see, each button is labeled (some more clearly than others). A brighter version of thelabels can be seen below:

Before you can start using the app, you must join another board or create your own. To join aboard, enter the board number and password (if applicable) of the board you would like to join. Ifyou would like to join the board of someone who is on your same WiFi network, simply tap theNearby button and select the board you would like to join.

Alternatively, if you would like to join a board that you recently viewed, simply tap the RecentBoards button and select the board you would like to join.

If you would like to create a new board, you have to option to assign a password and/or enteryour email address. Assigning a password will restrict other users from accessing your boardwithout permission and entering an email address simply sends you an email notification withyour board number.

Once you have joined or created a board, you can begin to edit it.Most of the features in Baiboard are identified when you open theapp, but there are some additional features that cannot be seenhere. Below are brief descriptions of these features, as well asadditional information about some of the features identified on thestart screen:

Importing PDFs, Images, and MapsBaiboard allows for the importing of PDFs, images, and maps.

PDFsWhen importing PDFs, you have the option to import them from Dropbox, Google Drive, or youriTunes library.

Once you have imported a PDF, it will appear on your board as just a PDF file. Toopen your PDF, tap on the PDF icon and then select Open at the bottom of yourscreen.

Your PDF will now open in a new window on yourboard. In this window, you can view and annotateyour PDF. The toolbar at the top of this window isvery similar to the one on your board, but includessome additional features, including the ability to addyour signature.

When you are done viewing/annotating your PDF,tap the “X” at the top right of the window to close itand go back to your board. All of your annotationswill be saved when closing the window.

ImagesYou can import images from your photo album, take a newphoto, or use one of Baiboard’s pre­made stencils.

MapsYou can import a snapshot of any location using the import map option. Simply enter the locationthat you would like to include. You can also navigate to your current location by tapping on thenavigation button at the bottom left­hand corner.

                    

Sharing OptionsWhile you can ask others to collaborate on your board, you can alsotake a snapshot of your board and share it using the followingoptions:

Board SettingsUsing the board settings, you can change your nickname, enterpresentation mode, add or change your board’s password,enable web sharing, and change the board layout.

NicknameYour nickname is how others will see you in the participantslist, as well as in the chat. Your nickname can be changed atany time.

Presentation ModePresentation mode restricts other collaborators from makingedits to your board. When presentation mode is turned on, youwill see the following image on your board:

Other collaborators will see the following image:

While this feature is useful during presentations, please note that any participant can turn offpresentation mode.

Web SharingWeb sharing allows you to wirelessly present to anyweb­enabled device on the same wireless network. When websharing is enabled, you will be given an IP address for yourboard. Anyone who enters this IP address into their web browserwill be able to view your board in real­time.

Board LayoutThe board layout option allows you to remove the gridlines fromyour board. This feature is not needed when using web sharingas the gridlines are not displayed on the shared screens.

MenuThe board menu displays your board number, allows you to inviteother participants, open the chat window, as well as create andview snapshots of your board. Please note that new chatmessages notifications will be displayed in this menu under thechat section. The menu is also used to exit your open board.

ChatBaiboard allows board participants to send text and audiomessages to one another. To enter the chat, go into the menuand select the chat option. Alternatively, you can open the chatwindow by swiping your finger to the left on the right­hand side ofthe screen. When the window is open, either type your messageat the top of the window or record an audio message by holdingthe button at the bottom. Text and audio messages will appear inthe chat window. To listen to audio messages, simply tap the playbutton.

Participants and Page NumberThe tab at the very bottom right­hand corner of your board shows how many participants theirare on your board, as well as the page number for your board. Tapping on this tab reveals thenicknames of the participants on your board.
