PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL UPDATE WOW! What a week of choir performances it’s been. Last Wednesday, the Year 1 classes sang like angels at St Benedict’s Church. We have been notified that they have received Certificates of Merit for their wonderful performances. Last Friday, the senior school choir had an amazing day and night at the Perth Arena for the One Big Voice Concert. These children were outstanding. (You can check out a short video on the school Facebook site!) Many thanks to the parents and teachers who helped out for this event. On Monday, the Year 2 classes each performed in the Choral Singing at the Vasto Club. Even though some classes were quite depleted, they all performed beautifully and with such happiness in their faces. What a joy to watch! Well done Year 2s. Next week, Mrs D’Adamo will be taking the boys dance group to perform at the Convention Centre. What an opportunity! Also next week, we have 11 children who will be performing piano solos at Zenith Music. Good luck to Leah Dineen, Amon Ross, Amara Ross, Claudia Dineen, Noah Smith, Caoimhe Mahon, Joel Matthews, Tina Algeri, Shaun Randeria, Mark Puiu and Ethan Beaudoin. I would like to thank Mr Garner for all the bus trips to Performing Arts and also to our very accomplished accompanists, Rob Bouwman and Lucy D’Olimpio for sharing their talents with us. Leanne Fragomeni MUSIC TEACHER
