Some simply celebrate

Christmas dinners with

family and friends, sharing

to them yuletide goodness.

Yet, in all this we may ask,

Christmas is giving!

Christmas Eve - December 24, 2010, was

marked by jolly cheers, feasting, and for this

year, a little rain. But the rain didnt stop ourWHM family from sharing the Lords goodness

to the needy.

Led by Senior Pastors Chabby and Alma

Palmares, WHM had a gift-giving and feeding

activity in Bacolod come Christmas eve, near

the Bacolod Capitol Lagoon area. The area was

full of cold, hungry people looking for a place to

hide from the rain.

Among the recipients were children, out-of-

school youth, and families spending their

Christmas on the sidewalk.

Joining in the group was a new Australianfriend, Leah, who just came to the church.

This activity just reminds us of how our Father,

gave His only Son for us - the greatest Gift.

This is the last Sunday of the year and we would like to thank

all of you who have been part of this ministry. Still, we are open

for your support in acquiring 100 additional chairs, renting the

store space for the childrens pavilion, and in furnishing our

beloved center. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!

2011 Events up and coming!

The year is closing and we are about to face anew year - full of events and activities sure to

spice up your life.

We will start planting churches in the four

major Baranggays of Talisay City: Matab-ang,

Dos Hermanas, Catabla, and Concepcion - as

early as January!

We are going to open our Kids Pavilion, and

also re-open our Sunday School!

We will have multitudes of outreach and

mission exposures - reaching out to many lost

and hungry souls in this city!

These and a lot more! Excited? Then be a

volunteer and get involved!

A blessed Christmas everyone! Truly this season reminds us of the

irst Christmas, where a child was born to save the world. He is the

greatest gift, that can only come from the greatest Giver, God Himself.

It is this character of God, a giver, that motivates each

of us to share what we have. Indeed, Its the season of

giving, and many people conduct gift-giving activities

What is so special about Christmas?

Today, we are just going to talk about that.

Its good for us to remember that Jesus is the reason for this season.

May that we would thank Him and honor Him for what He has done

for us, and all the goodness we have received this 2010. 2011 is

just around the corner. Lets be excited and willing to do His will.

PHILIPPIANS 2:5-11

. THE RELEVANCE OF CHRISTMAS: GOD ______________________.

When the allies landed on Normandy on D-Day, that was big news. That is nothing compared to the news

when God invaded earth. It was big news when man landed on the moon and walked there. Its bigger news

when God landed on the earth. Jesus Christ is God Himself. It was God that came to earth.

I. THE REALITY OF CHRISTMAS: GOD ______________________.This is even more difcult to understand. If you were God and were going to come to earth, of all the ways

you could choose to reveal yourself, would you come as a baby? as a human being?

How is Jesus like us?

1) He was born like us.

2) He grew like us.

3) He was tempted like us.

4) He suffered like us.

II. THE REASON FOR CHRISTMAS: JESUS ______________________.

v. 8b ...He humbled himself and became obedient to death -- even death on a cross!Jesus didnt stay in a

crib in a manger. He went to a cross and voluntarily laid down His life for us. Why?

The Bible says He did it for two reasons:1) To demonstrate Gods love.

2. To pay for my sins.

V. THE RESULT OF CHRISTMAS: JESUS ______________________.

v. 9-11 Therfore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that

at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue

confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD ...

What does it mean to say Jesus is Lord?

a) I acknowledge that He really is God. Hes more than a man or a prophet. He really is

God. He is the Lord. It is a test of my commitment to Him.

b) I believe that He has everything under control.

c) I commit all of my life to Him.
