One day during a class, the students of aPastor came across a line which said, Thetruly evolved person is he, who continuesto smile in the midst of the greatest of dif culties. They had a problem acceptingthis statement. If we are truly in dif culty, how is it possible for us to smile undersuch conditions? they asked. To be perfectlyhonest with you, he said, I myself can-not answer that question as I too cannotsmile in the midst of dif culties. However, Ibelieve there is someone who can give youthe answer. He told his students of an oldman who lived in their city, not far fromthe synagogue. He had been an abandonedchild- an orphan. When he grew up, he hadlost both his legs in an accident. His lifehad been a series of struggles, a saga of

pain and suffering. And yet, continued thePastor, he always wears a lovely smile! Thestudents were amazed to hear of this braveman. They went to him and were greeted bythe man himself, moving briskly in a wheelchair. He welcomed the young students cor-dially. Tell us please, sir, they asked, Howdo you continue to smile amidst so much

    Wrong Address"

suffering and pain? The old man wasgenuinely surprised.Im afraid youhave come to thewrong address, hesaid. I am 73 yearsold, and in all theseyears, I have neverhad to face any dif-

culty. The Lord hasalways been good to

me, and protectedme in His mercy. How can I teach youhow to smile in themidst of dif culties? This was a manwho lived in closeproximity with God!

Truly God is moving in a verywonderful way. As we continue tomeet every Sunday in World Har-vest Laguna, God is increasing usn number. I could still rememberour very irst service where therewere only 11 leaders and fewnewcomers, but last Sunday Feb-ruary 27, there were 12 leadersand 23 newcomers who experi-enced Gods love. Ronnie Espaolashared about the Fathers Love. The place was illed with joy andexcitement as we had our fellow-ship. Di erent personalities fromdi erent companies were present;n fact were trainees from Mind-

anao. They really enjoyed the serv-ce and food that we prepared forhem. These following weeks we

are looking forward to transfer toa much bigger place. Also, the lead-ers gather every Tuesday, Thurs-day and Saturday night to havehe small group in spite of their

busy schedules. Everyone is givena chance to speak and to pour out what they feel. In this manner wecould be united and be aware of he burdens of one another. God isdoing great things here and surelyhe ire will spread out as we con-inue take this city for Jesus.Kiefer Angelo Cadungog, leader
