What is the YOF?

The Youth Opportunity Fund• funds those clubs who are asking for a portion

of the total cost of the project• is given only to Key Clubs and/or club

members. • assists club projects with funding from $100

to $1,000

YOF Funding

The Youth Opportunities Fund is funded by • Key Club International’s earned interest.• Of the $6.50 every member pays for their

International Dues, $.50 goes towards the YOF.

• Purchase of The G. Harold Martin award, which requires a donation to the International Foundation.

Recent changes

• In the past, clubs could apply for two YOF grants, each ranging from requested assistance of $200 to $2,000.

• As of this year, clubs can only apply for one YOF grant, but can ask for a minimum assistance of $100.

Page 5: Why YOF? And CNH Grants? and how the youth opportunities monies are greatly underutilized by key clubs Presented by: Mr. Marek LeBlanc

What change means

• The YOF now benefits clubs differently in that it can now fund smaller projects. – For example, projects that required less than $200

in funding were not accepted.

• The maximum allotted was lowered from $2,000 to $1,000 so individual clubs do not “monopolize” the money.– Most projects will require less than $1,000 in

funding.

addresses”• Solution

– “What have you done so far to get your project started?” How will it improve community?

• Budget– “What parts of your project require funding?
