Position Description: Tufts University seeks to fill a newly-created Bridge Professorship in Cyber Security andPolicy starting in September 2017. The successful candidate will be appointed at therank of Professor or Associate Professor in the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy andthe School of Engineering’s Department of Computer Science. The Brookings Center for East Asia Policy Studies (CEAP) was established in 1998, and for18 years CEAP has conducted research, analysis and exchange to enhance policydevelopment and understanding on the pressing political, security and economic issuesfacing East Asia and the United States in the region. The Center's active series ofprograms provides expert insight and analysis into current events and emerging trendsin East Asia, and their implications for U.S. interests there. Its four senior fellows andcadre of and associated researchers conduct in-depth research on understudied andlooming issues concerning the East Asian region. Their analysis helps frame key debatesand offers an array of policy recommendations for the U.S. government andgovernments in the region. Research, analysis and publications from the Center and its associated researchers helpframe key debates and offer policy recommendations on issues of concern in East Asia,and for U.S. foreign policy in the region. Center research and analysis appear in the formof books, policy papers, web-based publications, Congressional testimony, and journalarticles. Dissertation Fellowship Award

Position Description: The ACUNS Dissertation Fellowship Award recognizes emerging students ofextraordinary potential who have reached the stage of writing an advanced graduate-level dissertation on a topic of direct and demonstrable relevance to the United Nationsand/or the UN system. Applications not thus related to the UN and/or UN system willnot be considered.

An important component of the Award for its winner is the recognition of excellencethat this entails throughout ACUNS’ global community of scholars and practitioners. TheAward also includes a monetary component in the amount of $1,500.00 US. In addition,the winner is encouraged to attend the ACUNS Annual Meeting in that same year, whereshe/he will be introduced and recognized as the Award winner. In that case, the winnerwill receive an Annual Meeting registration fee waiver (worth up to $150 of theregistration fee) plus an additional award of up to $500 following the Meeting for thereimbursement of related travel and accommodations costs.

The Dissertation Award winner is encouraged to consider in the future submitting somewritten product to ACUNS’ journal, Global Governance. Use of any materials, however,will be at the discretion of the journal editorial team and the normal peer reviewprocess.

Position Description:This postdoctoral teaching and research fellowship is a one year (up to 13 months) in-resident appointment beginning July 2017 and is renewable for a second year. Teachingrequirement is no more than two seminar sections (single preparation with only 14-16students per section) within the common core Theater Security Decision Making (TSDM)course that runs for approximately twelve weeks beginning in mid-August. Postdoctoralfellows may also opt to offer an elective class in one of their areas of expertise, but thisis not a requirement of the position. Position Description: The Alfa Fellowship Program is a high-level professional development initiative placingup to 18 American, British, and German citizens per year in work assignments at leadingorganizations in Russia in the fields of business, economics, journalism, law, public policy,and related areas. Key goals of the Alfa Fellowship Program are expanding networks ofAmerican, British, and German professionals, developing greater interculturalunderstanding, and advancing knowledge of Russian affairs in the West.

The Alfa Fellowship Program begins with language training in the Fellow's geographiclocation followed by a language course in Moscow starting in mid-June. Throughout thesummer, Alfa Fellows attend a seminar program with key public and private sectorofficials to discuss current issues facing Russia. Fellows then work at prominentorganizations in Russia, including private companies, media outlets, think tanks, andfoundations.
