Given to their luxuries & material possessions

Not see impending danger of God’s judgment

Many modern saints also at ease in ZionLukewarm, lethargic & lulled to sleep by Satan

Given to pursuit of materialism & pleasure

Fail to consider the coming judgment of God

“There is nothing to do”

• If Christians are at ease today, it is not because there is nothing to do.

• In fact, there is much work to be accomplished.

• If Christians are at ease today, it is not because there is an excess of workers.

• In fact, there is a shortage of workers.

• If Christians are at ease today, it is not because there is plenty of time.

• In fact, time and opportunity are limited.

Like those of Amos’ day, the church at Laodicea was also at ease in Zion

Despite their complacency, they were facing desperate spiritual problems

God demands that all such individuals be zealous and repent (Revelation 3:14-19)

We must be diligent & zealous in the Lord’s work (Titus 2:11-14).
