Plans to re-build Worcester Vocational High School began in 1997. The school was to be built inGreen Hill Park. The plans to build the high school in Green Hill Park were met with controversybecause of the fear of disrupting the esthetical value of the park as well as the land and progressmade by other environmental projects done in the park (i.e. the digging of a landfill in theI970 's ) .
