WORK SESSION TOPICS OCTOBER 9, 2017

1. Michigan Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act (MMMFLA) (60 minutes) Ad Hoc Committee recommendation discussion

Goal: Review recommendations of MMMFLA Ad Hoc Committee and related information to provide direction on the desired drafting of ordinances

Maps depicting 500’ and 1000’ buffer zones around daycares, schools (including CMU), and parks (as previously provided)

Summary of items generally agreed to at September 11 work session for drafting of the ordinances

1. Review/discussion of the remaining issues

a) Limits on proximity? • Distance from K-12 schools • Distance from CMU • Distance from daycares • Distance from churches • Distance from residential • Distance to a like facility • Separation from any other type of

facility? b) Discussion regarding number of facilities

allowed? • Based on allowing 3 of each type of

facility, how to decide who gets licensed if more than that number are interested/apply?

c) Allow all 5 types of facilities in industrial? d) Allow provisioning centers in commercial zones?

• Based on proposed new zoning districts what areas within a CD4 or CD5 are you interested in?
