Data Binding (Analyst only)
Data binding is where a non-spatial table can be linked to a spatial one
• Connections to non-spatial tables are added in Spectrum Management Console• Admins in Analyst can then associate these with spatial tables in Analyst using a join column• End users see a more information link to view associated information• For example click a property boundary and see associated information on

Key Differences:Spectrum Spatial Analyst
vs. MapInfo Stratus
![Page 16: Workshop150603 Spatial Analys](https://reader036.vdocument.in/reader036/viewer/2022062308/55cddf4fbb61ebf46b8b4577/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
Key Differences
Spectrum Spatial Analyst• Deployed on premise
• Uses Spectrum Platform security APIs
• Spectrum Management Console is used to manage users and roles
• Spectrum map loader allows creation of named resources but does not upload data
• Named resources pointing to local spatial RDBMS or TAB files can be created by the map loader
Stratus • Deployed as a SaaS
• Uses SaaS security infrastructure APIs and pb.com for authentication
• SaaS Account Management application to create and manage roles and add users to them
• Stratus Map loader uploads TAB files which are then processed into the backend database

General Hardware Recommendations
Analyst server only:
• Operating Systems: Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit. The server requires a 64-bit system; 32-bit systems are not supported.
• Disk Space: Spectrum Spatial Analyst will use 1GB of system space for installer package and installation.
• Memory: Spectrum Spatial Analyst applications will use minimum of 3GB RAM. Please make sure the server on which Analyst is installed has enough RAM to run other processes, including Windows.
• CPUs: We recommend a minimum of 4 CPU cores• Note that Analyst installs 3 services (Admin, locate service, and the
Analyst end-user app).
