Worship Aid 1. A Rightful Place Oct. 27, 2019 Let us live our lives so that all might see that our hearts are restless ll they rest in thee.

Let us build your kingdom in truth and grace so that all might know they have a righ ul place.

Beauty ever ancient and new, breaking through our deafness so we hear you. Sha ering the darkness of night, a new dawn is rising to bring your light to all the world.

To gather in your presence we came to be one in spirit, in truth and name; strengthened by the body of Christ,

Taking up the call now to share your light with all the world. © 2012, Steve Angrisano. Published by Spirit & Song, OCP onelicense.net License # A-722757

2. Come As You Are Come out of sadness from where you’ve been. Come, brokenhearted, let rescue begin.

Come find your mercy. O sinner, come kneel; Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can’t heal,

earth has no sorrow that Heaven can’t heal.

Lay down your burdens, lay down your shame. All who are broken li up your face. O wanderer, come home;

You’re not too far. So lay down your hurt, lay down your heart, come as you are.

There’s hope for the hopeless and all those who’ve strayed: Come sit at the table, come taste the grace. There’s rest for the weary, rest that endures. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can’t cure.

There’s joy for the morning. O sinner, be s ll. Earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t heal. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can’t heal.

Come as you are. (Repeat x 3) CCLI Song # 7017790 © 2014 9t One Songs Ariose Music Inot Music sixsteps Music Thankyou Music Valley Of Songs Music worshiptogether.com songs

3. What A Beautiful Name You were the Word at the beginning, one with God the Lord Most High.

Your hidden glory in crea on, now revealed in You, our Christ.

What a beau ful (wonderful, powerful) Name it is, what a beau ful (wonderful, powerful) Name it is, the Name of Jesus Christ, my King. What a beau ful (wonderful, powerful) Name it is, nothing

compares to this. What a beau ful (wonderful, powerful) Name it is, the Name of Jesus.

You didn’t want heaven without us, so Jesus, You brought heaven down. My sin was great, Your love was greater; what could separate us now?

Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You. You silence the boast of sin and grave. The heav-ens are roaring the praise of Your glory for You are raised to life again. You have no rival, You have

no equal. Now and forever God, You reign. Yours is the kingdom, Your is the glory, Yours is the Name above all names.

4. Remembrance Oh, how could it be that my God would welcome me into this mystery? Say, “Take this bread, take this wine”, now the simple made divine for any to receive. By your mercy we come to your table, by your grace you are

making us faithful. Lord, we remember you, and remembrance leads us to worship.

And as we worship you, our worship leads to communion. We respond to your invita on; we remember you.

See his body, his blood, know that he has overcome every trial we will face. None too lost to be saved, none too broken or ashamed. All are welcome in this place. By your mercy we come to your table, by your grace you

are making us faithful. (bridge)

Dying, you destroyed our death. Rising, you restored our life. Lord Jesus, come in glory. Lord Jesus, come in glory. Lord Jesus, come in glory. Lord Jesus, come in glory.

Today’s Gospel has a powerful reminder for every one of us. Luke conveys its purpose in the introduction, “Jesus addressed this parable to those who were convinced of their own righteousness and despised everyone else.” People have a tendency to see a splinter in others’ eyes while disregarding their own beam. Have you ever been in conversation where good people suddenly turn on those who are not deemed equally good? We are all sinners without exception. Yet, our inclination is to gloss over our own sins. We too easily put on blinders regarding our sinfulness and we can readily justify our actions. “All a person’s ways seem pure to them.” Proverbs: 16:2. The good news is that we are not alone. We have God and there is hope! What we need to do is to become conscious of our own sins in order to change. Equipped with awareness, we ask God for strength to be more Christ-like. By having a good sense of our personal areas of weakness, we can do something about them. Deep and sincere reflection of our own sins of commission and sins of omission (what we do and what we fail to do) is hard, but very necessary as Christians. When we take time to regularly monitor our thoughts and behaviors, our own shortcomings become clearer to us. That insight makes us more patient with ourselves and more loving toward others. At the end of each day this week, ask yourself, “Where did I see God today?” After you do that, ask yourself, “Where did I fail to see God today?” This short reflection will help you become more conscious of your thoughts and actions and of God’s presence in your life. FISCAL YEAR 2019 ANNUAL PARISH REPORT *School Financial Report to published late November

STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL POSITION

Maintenance Fund Expenditures Piano Repair and Tuning $ 1,890.00

New Lock System - Parish Center $ 46,910.61

Wireless Microphones (Church) $ 6,833.36

Total Expense $ 55,633.97

The Parish Maintenance Fund is a monthly collection to provide funding for Capital Projects, beyond the scope of regular maintenance. The projects are reviewed and approved by our Parish Finance Council. In fiscal year 2019, the maintenance fund was used to repair a donated piano, upgrade our Parish Lock System, and add digital wireless microphones to the Church. The Parish Center Locks were original to the building, and both the software and hardware were no longer supported. The original locks were failing and needed to be replaced. The project is complete. Additionally, when we upgraded the Church sound system, we kept the original analog wireless microphones in place, as they were fully functional at the time. Unfortunately, all the frequencies have been sold for our zip code and we could not get consistent connections between the microphone and the receiver. New, digital microphones were purchased to resolve the problem.
