In your English class you have been discussing the pros and cons of different types of transport. For your homework your teacher has asked you to write a

composition giving your reaction to the following statement:

"Cars should be banned from the centres of all major cities."

Write your composition for your teacher (around 120-180 words).

Moving around different parts of our city by car is often the nightmare of many inhabitants. However, in reality it has both advantages and disadvantages.

There are many pros to driving a car. First of all, it is one of the cheapest

means of transport. In addition, if you run out of fuel, you can find easily a gas station. Furthermore, you don’t have to wait in the bus stop. Have you ever

thought of how much time do you waste?

In contrast, there are certain drawbacks. Firstly, the cars are a major of pollution. On a bus there is room for more than 20 persons, while in a car, just 5 persons can travel. Both pollute the same amount, so a bus is much more

convenient! Moreover, in the rush hour, you can get stuck in traffic for several hours or you can crash.

In conclusion, the car can bring us more trouble than it is worth. So, I strongly

believe that people should stop using their own cars and start travelling by public transports.
