Subject: Grant of Assured Career Progression (ACP) to SSS incumbents-Regarding.

In pursuance of DOP&T OM No. 35034/1/ 97 — Estt. (D) dated 9th August 1999 and this Ministry OM No. 11024 / 12 / 2013 — SSS dated 30th January 2014 demarcating guidelines to regularize ACP in SSS and further on the recommendation of the Screening Committee. meeting of which was held on 1211' March 2014, the Competent Authority has approved grant of 1st ACP in the pay scale of Rs. 6500-10500, on personal basis to Statistical Investigator Grade II who were in the pay scale of Rs. 5000 — 8000 of Subordinate Statistical Service (SSS) and were eligible for 1st ACP on completion of 12 years of regular service after 12th February 2002 as per details given below:

2. The Participating Ministries Departments / Organizations of SSS -are requested to fix the pay of incumbents working under their administrative control in the higher Pay Scale after due verification of eligibility condition of ACP from the service records of the officers. Earlier order for 1st ACP in respect of above officials in the pay scale of Rs. 5500-9000 (NFSG) may be treated as cancelled.

3. The Participating Ministries / Departments / Organizations of SSS are further rcquested to ensure that the officer placed in the higher Pay Scale under ACP, is not under suspension; no charge sheet was issued; no disciplinary proceeding or prosecution case for criminal charge was pending against him on the crucial date of ACP.

4. The officer. who is under currency of penalty. if any, will be granted financial up-gradation as per ACP Scheme only on expiry of that period.

5. In case of incumbents of SSS, who have earned 1st or 2nd ACP on or before 31.12.2005 in the pay scale of Rs. 6500 — 10500 and extended GP of Rs. 4600 as on 01.01.2006, their 1st MACP in GP of Rs. 4600 w.e.f. 1's September 2008 may be treated as infractuous: however, MACP benefits extended under 2'd or 3rd MACP on completion of 20 and 30 years of regular service as on 01.09.2008 and thereafter will remain unchanged.

6. The Participating Ministries I Departments / Organizations of SSS are requested to extend the financial benefits after due verification of the date of ACP from their service book and on the basis of request received from concerned officials with all consequential benefits under intimation to this Ministry.
