DESCRIPTION

The Akrapovic Racing and Evolution Exhaust Systems with their hexagonal muf-flers are top of the line products for this motorcycle. The increases in power and torque can be clearly seen from dyno measurements and felt on the motocross track. The muffler includes a noise damper for the European market, and an ap-proved spark arrester for the US market. Noise emissions of 94 db are within the new strict regulations. The header pipe features an additional chamber for a better response at lower rpm and for more top end power. You will also save on weight, when compared to stock exhaust systems. We use our exclusive titanium in the production of the Evolution line and a combination of stainless steel and titanium for the Racing line.

Measurements of the Akrapovic EVOLUTION system on the YAMAHA YZ 250F (with muffler insert):

Power & Torque: the Akrapovic Racing and Evolution systems provide the increased performance that top riders are looking for. Engine performance is increased throughout the entire rpm range. The power curve is steeper and smoother, and the increases are highest in the low end and top of rpm range. We measured max power output of 35.7 HP at 12.000 rpm and max. power increase of 1.8 HP at 12000 rpm. The torque also gets a major boost, which will make riding smother and lower your times on the track.
