The Campus Luigi Einaudi*, built in the former industrial Italgas area of Turin, aims to be one of the most iconic buildings in the world of architecture. The design of the new Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Turin, was signed by 8 groups who won the international competition; Among the teams, the name of Foster+ Partners is probably the most relevant: their firm signed the general architectural project and their visual philosophy is clearly visible.

The project was developed in the name of environmental sustainability: from the photo-catalytic ou-tdoor floorings to the roof covering that is inspired by the solar design (as well as being an architec-tural element of great visual impact), from the integration between natural and artificial lighting (which guarantees energy savings of around 20%) to design solutions for technological systems. In this context of great attention to the environment Artigo floorings have been fitted in perfectly.

Our Multifloor UNI in 4 mm rolls was chosen by the architects in different colours to identify the re-spective areas, while for the library a very nice colour gradation effect was achieved by choosing 4 colours for the 4 levels, from the red of the ground floor to the yellow of the 3rd floor. As you can see, the result is quite eye-catching ! The minimal look of solid colors in the hands of skilled professionals, proves once again to be a success. The choice of 4mm thickness in a library is almost a "must": great underfoot comfort to trea-ding and an excellent reduction of impact sound are essential characteristics in such locations where the resistance to high traffic and the acoustic requirements are of an essence.

From an environmental point of view, Artigo and it’s rubber flooring stand out on the international scene. Our factory is certified according to the environmental standard ISO 14001 and the entire roof of our industrial buildings are covered with photovoltaic panels (almost 8.000sqm) reducing 14,440 tons of CO2 emissions over the next 20 years. Furthermore, UNI is certified in accordance with the Blue Angel label, the German AgBB require-ments and the California section 01350 as a low volatile organic compounds (VOC) emitting material, assuring the maximum safety to the end users.
