We have also secured prestigious eventslike the UK School Games, the European Fencing Championshipsand the World Short Track Skating Championships and arecurrently in negotiations for many, many more.

The birthplace of English Horse Racing The Kiplingcotes Derby is said to be the oldestflat race in England, dating back to 1519. Takingplace in Market Weighton in of East Yorkshireevery year since, the rules state that if the raceisn’t run one year, it should never be run again.

The Birth of Rugby League Twenty-two clubs (plus Stockport whonegotiated by telephone) met at The GeorgeHotel in Huddersfield, in the West Riding of  Yorkshire, and formed the ‘Northern RugbyFootball Union’.
