The Government of Saskatchewan and Sask Sport Inc., are launching the second phase of a joint marketing campaign to ensure a healthy, safe and respectful environment for all participants in amateur sport in the province. “We are proud to partner with Sask Sport, recognized as a leader across Canada for their dispute resolution services and tools, on this important initiative,” Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Gene Makowsky said. “Following a growing movement of what is no longer acceptable in sport, this campaign increases awareness of the valuable tools available to assist coaches, athletes and parents.” Today, the second phase of the online campaign kicks off with ads on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. This campaign first launched in October 2019 to build awareness of resources to address bullying, abuse, harassment and discrimination in sport. In particular, the campaign focuses on the Respect Resource Line, where expert staff provide information, bilin- gual support, resources and referrals by phone, text or email. This confidential and anonymous resource is intended to assist coaches, athletes and parents in determining the most appropriate course of action. “Sport enriches lives, teaches valu- able life skills, and builds close-knit communities,” Sask Sport Volunteer Board Chair Kenric Exner said. “To ensure sport is a positive experience for all, Sask Sport, our members and our many partners have been leaders in preventing and dealing with negative situations when they do occur. We thank the Government of Saskatchewan for working with us on this campaign to keep sport healthy, safe and fun for everyone.” ........ ...Your.Daily.Fix... The Government of Saskatchewan and Sask Sport acknowledge the ongo-ing partnership with Respect Group Co-Founder Sheldon Kennedy whose efforts have been foundational to this initiative.

“I applaud Saskatchewan for their leadership in child protection,” Kennedy said. “Giving people an outlet to seek advice on scary issues is the key to prevention and early intervention.”

Sask Sport provides additional resources, such as the Respect in Sport online training program for coaches and activity leaders to ensure more coaches are trained in current safe sport best practices.

As part of the campaign, posters will be distributed to schools and recre-ation facilities across the province. To access and print these mate-rials, or for more information on the various sport resources, con-tacts and training, visit http://www.sasksport.sk.ca/safesport/.

FROM KING FEATURES SYNDICATE, 300 W 57th STREET, 41st FLOOR, NEW YORK, NY 10019 CUSTOMER SERVICE: (800) 708-7311 EXT. 236YOUR INDIVIDUAL HOROSCOPEFOR RELEASE MONDAY, FEB. 24, 2020BY FRANCIS DRAKE

What kind of day will tomorrow be? To find out what the stars say, read the forecast given for your birth sign.

For Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020ARIES(March 21 to April 19) This is a fabulous day to research any-

thing because you have a lot of mental energy, plus you’re very keen to explore the past. Expect excellent results for your efforts!

TAURUS(April 20 to May 20)Today you can expect to have a

dynamic discussion with someone younger, someone from the past or per-haps an old friend or contact from a group or organization. You might help this person with their future goals, or vice versa.

GEMINI(May 21 to June 20)An important discussion with an old

boss, parent or someone in authority you haven’t seen in a while might be benefi-cial today. This person might encourage you to get back on track.

CANCER(June 21 to July 22)You find it easy to study history, phi-

losophy and matters related to the past today. You’re curious and keen to learn as much as you can.

LEO(July 23 to Aug. 22)This is a great day to plow through old

details regarding insurance issues, taxes, debt and shared property. First, organize your papers, because once you’ve done this, you’re halfway there.

VIRGO(Aug. 23 to Sept. 22)Ex-partners and old friends are back in

your world again. Today a discussion might help you finalize something or bring something to a closure. It’s time.

LIBRA(Sept. 23 to Oct. 22)Even though you’re gung-ho to work

hard today, you will encounter delays, misplaced paperwork, missed appoint-

ments and confused communication. Grin and bear it.

SCORPIO(Oct. 23 to Nov. 21)Old flames and ex-lovers might be

back on the scene. This can always be touchy and threatening. Dress well to boost your confidence.

SAGITTARIUS(Nov. 22 to Dec. 21)Family discussions about old matters

and old business will go well today, because people are ready for this. You might talk to a relative you haven’t seen in a while.

CAPRICORN(Dec. 22 to Jan. 19)Car problems, transportation problems

and mixed-up communications are par for the course right now. Ironically, you have something you want to say but you are plagued with delays.

AQUARIUS(Jan. 20 to Feb. 18)Checks might be late in the mail

because money delays are likely now. On the upside, this is a good time to correct past financial errors. Do what you can.

PISCES(Feb. 19 to March 20)Despite your eagerness to communi-

cate to others and get things done today, you are plagued by delays, cancellations and misplaced items. This can be mad-dening, especially when you’re busy!

YOU BORN TODAY You are gentle, compassionate and

intuitive. You care and want to be able to benefit others. Finally, this year your hard work will start to pay off! Simplify your life and focus on how to build solid foundations. Work with purpose. Physical exercise will be important, which is why you should explore enjoyable physical activities.

Boating in the fall offers colourful vistas, quiet anchorages and excellent fishing but it is not without its challenges that necessitate self-sufficiency and taking some addition-al precautions to keep from running into trouble. The Canadian Safe Boating Council (CSBC) and the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation want to remind all boaters en-joying the fall season on the water to follow these tips to ensure that their excursions are both safe and enjoyable. Before heading out, be sure to check the weather forecast. The mixing of warm and cold air can quickly spawn high winds and waves making it treacherous for small boats. Fog, too, is an issue at this time of year making visibility difficult. Should boaters find themselves in a fog bank, they should proceed slowly and sound their horn at regular intervals to alert other boat-ers of their presence. Well into October, daytime temperatures can occasionally be balmy but dressing for the water temperature will help slow the onset of hypothermia should the unexpect-ed happen and the boater find himself in the water. Accidental cold water immer-sion can be shocking, but they shouldn’t panic. It may take a minute or so to get their breathing under control after the initial shock but they will have at least 10-

Some tourists in the Chicago Museum of Natural History are marveling at the dinosaur bones. One of them asks the guard,“Can you tell me how old the dinosaur bones are?”The guard replies, “They are three million, four years, and six months old.”“That’s an awfully exact number,” says the tourist. “How do you know their age so precisely?”The guard answers, “Well, the dinosaur bones were three million years old when I started working here, and that was four and a half years ago!”

A husband is at home watching a football game when his wife interrupts, “Honey, could you fix the light in the hallway? It’s been flickering for weeks now.”He looks at her and says angrily, “Fix the light? Now? Does it look like I have a G.E. logo printed on my forehead? I don’t think so.”“Well then, could you fix the fridge door? It won’t close right.” To which he replied, “Fix the fridge door? Does it look like I have Westinghouse written on my forehead? I don’t think so.”“Fine,” she says, “Then could you at least fix the steps to the front door? They’re about to break.”“I’m not a carpenter and I don’t want to fix the steps,” he says. “Does it look like I have Ace Hardware written on my forehead? I don’t think so. I’ve had enough of you. I’m going to the bar!”So he goes to the bar and drinks for a couple hours. He starts to feel guilty about how he treated his wife, and decides to go home and help out. As he walks into the house, he notices the steps are already fixed. As he enters the house, he sees the hall light is working. As he goes to get a beer, he notices the fridge door is fixed. “Honey, how’d this all get fixed?”She said, “Well, when you left, I sat outside and cried. Just then a nice young man asked me what was wrong, and I told him. He offered to do all the repairs, and all I had to do was either sleep with him or bake him a cake.”He said, “So, what kind of cake did you bake him?”She replied, “Hellooooo... Do you see Betty Crocker written on my forehead?”
