GET QUICK RESULTS & PERFORMANCE (Case Study)

Before ZAC

(email received 30 May 2012)

“To all I just want to keep everyone in the loop concerning the HSE for the project. My first few trips out to site have being a bit of a shock seeing what I have seen. It’s going to be a struggle and not easy with the local workforce. Safety in this country is pretty much unheard of and very scarce. […] I am being told that it is a real struggle with the locals because if you pressure them in any way the wrong way they just drop there tools and walk off and quit. This is one of the reasons why our camp is delayed. Basically what I am saying is its going to be very tough […] and we will have to try and ease in on the locals slowly and try and implement HSE as much as possible without them packing it in on us. Darcy.D

Hi Darcy, are you here?

Just wanted to know if everything was OK? It seems that they use the software very well and that they have completed already a lot of work… I would be interested to know if you can physically SEE change in the behaviour of workers, SEE golden rules stickers posted etc… etc…

Yes I am just arrived on crew

Yes for now ok Pierre […] There is a big change in the workers i am very happy, all are wearing PPE etc…etc… taking there time doing the work right and safely
