If you love to sing for the Lord, and you are interested in being a part of a great ministry of First Baptist Church, Floresville, then the FBC Praise Choir is for you! We invite you to join us on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm. The FBC Praise Choir Ministry allows folks to express their love for the Lord through music. Being a part of the FBC Praise Choir encourages its par-ticipants to connect with other believers who have a great love for the Lord and for singing!
The FBC Praise Choir rehearses worship music for Sunday morning worship services; and coming up in the next few weeks, we will begin rehearsing Christmas music! This year, the FBC Praise Choir has been invited to combine with the choir at Park Hills Bap-tist Church in San Antonio for this year’s Christmas presentation. We plan to present the Christmas celebration on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 7:00 pm. We would like to have as many voices as possible in this amazing combined choir. What a great way to share the miracle of Christ’s birth to the community and surrounding areas!
If you have any questions about the FBC Praise Choir Ministry, please contact Pastor Terry Smith at 830-391-3362. We would love to have you on our ministry team!

The motto of a good audio/visual team is: “Check everything. Check it again. Don’t get noticed.”
The Audio/Visual Ministry is in need of people to serve behind-the-scenes. Our audio/visual team does a great job of enhancing our worship services by controlling the sound, videotaping Pastor Mike’s messages, and displaying song lyrics, videos, etc., on our overhead screens. Our team is in need of a few humble individuals willing to join us. No special skills are required. Someone will teach you how to operate the equipment. The team provides a ministry to countless individuals, not only to those who attend worship, but to the world because Pastor Mike’s messages are posted on the internet. With the impending fall college school semester and the Coffeys’ eventual relocation to Belize, our team will be losing two of its members. Please consider whether the Lord would have you join us as we quietly serve Him through FBC’s Audio/Visual Ministry.
Contact Pastor Terry Smith or Pastor Aaron Coffey for more information.

• Highland Lakes Preteen Camp was wonderful! First Baptist Church took 8 girls, 5 boys, and several made deci-sions for Christ. Our group had great Bible studies in the evenings, with lots of interaction and sharing among the group. Many seeds were planted and watered. We will watch as the children grow in their love of the Lord.
• “I’m a Christian Now” class will begin on Sunday, August 7, 2016, during the 9:15 am Sunday school hour. This 4-week class is for newly baptized children and for those who have recently made professions of their faith in Christ.
• TeamKidz will start on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, along with TeamKidz Praise children’s choir, immediately after school is released. Our study this se-mester will be “Character Challenge.” Boys and girls will be studying people from the Bible who showed character and honored God with their behavior.
• Summer is beginning to wind down. Busy schedules, vacations, camp for chil-dren, school starting, band practices, and lots of other things have kept us busy. But never let these things cause you to be too busy for God. Blessings will flow when you honor Him with your time—even in the summertime.
