Gardner Foundation

I was notified on August 24, 2012 that Pender did not receive the requested grant

Applied for it to help offset the cost of the guided reading resources

No specific reason for not receiving the grant was given

Guided Reading

After being in the classrooms, it is obvious this program is having a positive impact on our classrooms and students

All teachers are implementing it similarly yet each have customized it to match their teaching styles

After students are benchmarked (Farrington), guided reading groups will be put into place and the LLI program will be put to use

This was a REALLY good addition to our elementary curriculum
