Fuori 8 3rd of March – 6th of April 2019 Opening: Sunday 3rd of March 2019, 7:00 pm-10:00 pm Finissage and catalogue presentation: Saturday 6th of April 2019 Opening: Sunday 3rd of March 2019 at 7:00 pm Galleria Gallerati will present the group exhibition Fuori 8 , a project by Carlo Gallerati , promoted by 06 , a collective of Roman photographers, and curated by Noemi Pittaluga. The show is part of Mese della Fotografia Roma (MFR). “This new and eighth edition of Fuori, a collective exhibition organized by Galleria Gallerati in Rome, is an event strongly desired by the gallerist Carlo Gallerati to witness, both with the exhibition and through the pages of the catalog, the creative ferment of this place. A twelve-years-old space entirely dedicated to research and cultural exchange on the Italian and international scene. Galleria Gallerati proposes both young and already established artists, whose language ranges from photography to mixed media, with a focus on video and performance. Fuori is inevitably an important stage of the gallery's program. It’s an event that allows on one hand to document the work carried out over the years, restoring visibility – through images of the works and installations – to the personal exhibitions of the represented artists. And on the other hand to let know other authors who could exhibit in the future. Group 06, which is made up of ten Roman photographers who are fond of the gallery, is joined by ten other authors coming from Italy and abroad. For this eighth appointment, the exhibition shows in a single glance the themes normally preferred by the art direction. The landscape is a projection of an existential gaze (Fabrizio Ceccardi, Guido Laudani, Enrico Nicolò, Alberto Placidoli, Claudio Spoletini, Fabio Viscardi) and the reflection on the body and on the identity (Silvia Bordini, Ivana Galli, Sabrina Genovesi, Manuela Verdi) are flanked by intimate considerations on the human soul and its manifestations (Thomas Behling, Daniele Contavalli, Giampiero Marcocci, Yasuko Oki). Sociological, political and religious aspects are also investigated with subtle acuteness (Alessandro Cidda, Carlo Gallerati, Vincenzo Monticelli Cuggiò, Danilo Susi) through photographs of performances and actions (Muzna Almusafer & Raiya Al Rawahi, Rita Mandolini). A geographical and intellectual meeting point, Fuori is the tangible symbol of Carlo Gallerati's work, of his collaborators and of course the artists presented from time to time on different occasions.” (Noemi Pittaluga) Fuori 8 Curated by Noemi Pittaluga Galleria Gallerati (Via Apuania, 55 – I-00162 Roma – +39.06.44258243 – +39.347.7900049) Opening: Sunday 3rd of March 2019, 7:00 pm-10:00 pm Finissage and catalogue presentation: Saturday 6th of April 2019, 7:00 pm-10:00 pm Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 5:00 pm-7:00 pm / Saturday, Sunday and after hours: by appointment Public transport: bus: 61, 62, 93, 310; metro: line B, stop Bologna (from Piazza Bologna: 400 m along Via Livorno or Via Michele di Lando) Press office: Galleria Gallerati ([email protected]) Info: [email protected], www.galleriagallerati.it, www.mesefotografiaroma.com Via Apuania, 55 – I-00162 Roma – Tel. +39.06.44258243 – [email protected] – www.galleriagallerati.it
