Nesting boxes, for example

Page 3: 090909 Vc Upp

Cut overlapping holes in both top and bottom boxes

Page 4: 090909 Vc Upp

Cut flashing, or other thin metal, larger than opening in box.

Page 5: 090909 Vc Upp

Pin or needle to “drill” hole.

Page 6: 090909 Vc Upp

Try to get hole diameter near .5 mm

Page 7: 090909 Vc Upp

Sand down any rough burrs around hole.

Page 9: 090909 Vc Upp

Tape aperture to inside of box with matte black photo tape.

Page 10: 090909 Vc Upp

Focal Length, F, used in calculation of f#.

Page 21: 090909 Vc Upp

Focal Length, F, used in calculation of f#.

f#= F/aperture diameter

Example:F=Distance from aperture to film

plane = 8 inchesAperture diameter = .5mm

Convert inches to mm:(8 in) X (25.4 mm/in) = 203.2 mm

f# = 203.2mm/.5mm = 406.4
