There were $836 in proceeds from this event and 100% of it will be used to purchase new board books for our smallest readers. We would also like to thank Eva Jane and Bess from the Friends of the Library for accepting donations at admission.
The Adult Summer Reading Program has come to an end and we would like to congratulate the winners of these prizes for their book reviews/reading logs.

Preschool Story Times Return Story times resume on September 6th & 7th and take place on Thursdays &
Fridays from 10:00 – 10:30am. While your family is invited to attend on
whichever day works best for you, Thursday story times have a slightly shorter
runtime as they are aimed at youngsters learning how to hold in their wiggles
for a story or two.

your books in while you browse the
shelves!
We’ve rearranged Adult Book Discussion Returns
Teen Book Club Returns
Teen Book Club is about to start back up! If you haven’t heard, Teen Book Club is for middle school & high school students. The library provides copies of the books so that teens can meet weekly to discuss sections of the book. This month we will be reading The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. Discussion will be held from 2:00 – 3:00pm on Saturdays September 15, 22 & 29th. Talk to Mr. L if you’d like more information.
Paint the Ville
Saturday, September 8th we will host a Paint the Ville session for middle school and high school students.
While the event is free, reservations must be made in advance. Seats are rapidly running out, so contact
Mr. Landon A.S.A.P if interested.
The first adult book discussion of the year will begin this month on Tuesday, September 25th. The group will be discussing the book I’ll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara. Discussion Leader this month will be Jami Livingston. The discussions are open to everyone and we have copies of the books for checkout in the lobby.
If you’ve been in the library in the past few weeks then you’ve noticed our snazzy new doors! We have been working on getting these doors for a few months now and are thrilled to see them finally up! They are automatic and have the handicapped button so that all of our patrons can get in and out of the library with their books comfortably.
Since getting our new doors in we have moved a few things around. The small shelf of books for sale will no longer be in the foyer, they are now in the lobby by the water fountains. The coffee machine has been moved behind the special collections door by the laminator and shape cutter.

Magic the Gathering Night
Magic the Gathering is a card game where players create a variety of decks to play games against each
other. The library will be hosting an ‘after hours’ Magic night on Friday, September 14th from 6-10pm. Experienced players can come find new opponents,
while we will provide a deck and support to new players.
