The' Examinations Authority has no objection to markers sharing it,after the completion of marking, with colleagues who are teaching the subject. However, under no circumstances should it begiven to students because they are likely to regard it asa set of model answers. Markers/teachers should therefore finnly resist students' requestsfor access to this document. Our examinations emphasise the testing of understanding, thepractical application of knowledge and the use ofprocessing skiIls. Hence the use ofmodelanswers, or anything else which encourages rote memorisation, should be consideredoutmoded and pedagogically unsound. The Examinations Authority is counting on theco-operation of markers/teachers in this regard.-
